Our Story

Where it all began.

With a passion for the animal always at heart, our roots stem deep into equestrian sport from the very beginning. Since the age of 5, founder Ardie Hastey has been in love with horses. Coaching and riding with trainers all over Canada and United States, her love for the Hunter/Jumper and Equitation world inspired the creation of the now widely recognized brand that Blueberry Hill has become known for.

Her early days in retail began while working for Ogilvy Equestrian as one of the main sales representatives. Ardie’s successes with Ogilvy brought her across North America from the world-renowned Spruce Meadows to the World Equestrian Games and many exciting places in between.

Through her travels and years of horse showing, she was approached by many suppliers about representing their brands. Her passion for wanting only the best for her horses, and her understanding of the rider’s needs inspired the idea of a mobile store.

“As a competitive rider in both the hunter and jumper rings, I understand what products simply are the best for both horse and rider –at Blueberry Hill, I live and breathe the philosophy of ‘only the best’.”

- Ardie Hastey

“We take pride in the uniqueness, quality and personalized customer care provided to every client. Our favourite part of what we do is finding innovative, fashionable, and customizable products that are also made in North America. We credit our product lines for giving us the high-end exclusive boutique feel we’ve become known for in the horse community. Supporting our local entrepreneurs and equestrian businesses is at the heart of who we are, which is why our focus has always been on representing brands made in Canada and United States.” - owner, Ardie Hastey

In 2023, the team welcomed Ana Wadden, a passionate rider with a flair for fashion, to manage our Canadian operations. Ana’s hands-on experience in the equestrian world, coupled with her fashion industry insights, ensures that our Canadian clientele receives the same personalized and high-quality service that defines our brand. Her passion for the sport and her keen fashion sense make her an invaluable asset to our team.
